The Island Club Courtesy Team, also referred to as the Gate Staff, is our hybrid security-guest services department. A member of our team is present on property 24/7/365 (with the exception of mandatory evacuation hurricanes).

Some examples of what the Courtesy Team does on property:

  • Manages access to the property.
  • Provides passes to guests.
  • Assist after hours with late check ins.
  • Responds to noise complaints.
  • Shuts off water in the event of a water leak.
  • Reports lights out for maintenance.
  • Patrols the grounds reporting safety issues and addressing rule violations.
  • Monitors pool equipment and enforces pool area rules.
  • Checks various locations on property ensuring they are secure when not in use.
  • Assists owners/guests afterhours by directing them to the proper channel to answer or resolve their questions or concerns.

NOTE: The Courtesy Team is not housekeeping or maintenance. They are happy to help you report these issues, but they are not responsible for providing these services; your rental company/self-renting owner is. The Courtesy Team IS RESPONSIBLE after-hours for shutting off water if there is a bad leak that requires water shut off to mitigate damage and can assist with accessing additional electrical breakers or help find GFCI outlets if a condo loses partial or total power (and it isn’t part of a larger/property wide power outage).
