Parking Notices

Sometimes, when you return to your vehicle, you find an electric green, bright yellow, or neon orange notice sitting on your windshield or tucked into your door handle.

Due to federal, state and local laws, as well as a finite number of parking spaces, and projects that can impact the parking lots and surrounding areas, the Courtesy Team conducts regular parking patrols and will tag vehicles that are in violation of one of the items on this notice. Please take the necessary corrective measures to remedy the situation as soon as possible. We want you to enjoy your time on beautiful Hilton Head Island, however, we also need everyone’s help by following these laws and being good neighbors, both in the condos and in the parking lot so that we can ensure a safe, secure and accessible property for all.

The notice will have the issue marked. If it’s something involving a pass, just make sure the unit number is visible, or if you hadn’t received a pass when you arrived, stop by the gate and let them know you need to get yours. You may have come through when our officer was out on patrol or assisting an owner or guest. Whomever is on duty will be happy to get you your pass!

If the issue involves being parked in a fire lane or unauthorized space, please move to an authorized spot immediately! If you cannot find one, contact the gate and we will make sure to help you find an acceptable spot.

Vehicles need to be parked within the lines so we can maximized parking and ensure that all owners and guests can safely access their vehicles. Further more, when parking, especially backing in, be mindful to not have anything hanging off your vehicle (kayaks, bicycle racks, fishing rods, etc.) or sticking out from your vehicle (bumper, hitch, hitch-mounted storage accessories, etc.) that is obstructing any pedestrian path. This is a violation of ADA accessibility Standards.

Again, these notices are to help keep the property accessible, safe, and secure while avoiding any unintended (and definitely unwanted!) fines or consequences while you’re here relaxing at Island Club!

We appreciate everyone being gracious and understanding neighbors; the Courtesy Team is at your service should you have any questions or concerns regarding parking!

On behalf of the Island Club Courtesy Team,

Alex Brannon
Courtesy Team Manager
